Welcome to my Motionless Side

When I’m not animating for clients, I’m indulging in the fine arts where my love for creating began. To start, below is my self portrait inspired by Frida Kahlo and stained glass (my two forever obsessions).

American Gladiators

Through MAMMAL, I did logo, titlecard, contender ID, and lower third exploration for the rebrand of Amazon Prime’s American Gladiators.

One People

Styleframes for Pride Month inspired by the John Lewis quote, “We are one people. one family, the human family, and what affects one of us affects us all”.

Mitski

As we’ve established from my motion project “Star”, I love Mitski. Therefore I painted this portrait of her that watches over me while I sleep every night.

Forbes x MAMMAL

I designed thumbnails for MAMMAL’s interview with Forbes using imagery that aligned with the clips' topics.

Tunnel

Using acrylic paint, I created an abstract scene using cool tones and subtle pinks. My favorite way to paint is to start off without an idea and add to the canvas until I see something appear, which is how this came to be.

Sadness As A Gift

I often let music inspire my work. This drawing was based on the way I felt when hearing the song “Sadness As A Gift” by Adrianne Lenker.

Writer’s Den

This 3D modeled scene was my first time working in Maya during my tech animation class in college. We created an environment around a character of our choosing. Mine loved Lucy Dacus, poetry, and record players, much like myself.

Scarlet

Another example of me starting off by drawing geometric shapes, and somehow a woman with flowing hair emerges.

Over There

Representative of the song Over There by The Japanese House. The feeling of knowing and then not knowing someone. Somewhat of an abstracted home full of warm memories and a person that doesn’t want to see them.

Abstract Doorway

My first drawing after finishing college. An abstracted doorway into new possibilities.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joni Jones

Another edition of me failing the challenge to draw anything without a dark background and a glow. Based on The Japanese House song, One for Sorrow, Two for Joni Jones.

Ghost On

What I see when I hear Ghost On by Angel Olsen.
